BJP state president Laxmi Kant Bajpai today alleged that the ruling Samajwadi Party government has failed to maintain law and order in the Uttar Pradesh.
He dubbed the UP government as "anti-farmer" and said among the 69 drought-hit districts of the state, the government had declared only 21 of them as calamity affected.
Bajpai alleged that the government had even failed to provide relief of Rs 2108 crore to the farmers which had been provided by the Centre.

Bajpai was talking to media persons in Hardaspur village after meeting with the kins of slain police officer Manoj Mishra, who was gunned down by animal smugglers in Faridpur police station area of Bareilly district on September 9 last.
During his meeting with the family members, the state BJP president assured them full support from his party.
He said the BJP would raise the issue in Parliament and continue its fight till justice was ensured to the family.
