The SP government in Uttar Pradesh is helpless in front of criminals and does not have the courage to face the opposition over the "collapsed" law and order situation of the state, opposition BSP said today.
"BSP has moved an adjournment motion for immediate debate on the collapsed law and order, jungleraj (lawlessness) in the state, rape and hanging of minor girls (in Badaun), corruption and other issues, but the Akhilesh government is not ready for it," Leader of Opposition in the Legislative Council Naseemuddin Siddiqui told reporters here after the question hour of the Upper House was adjourned.
"The SP government is helpless before the criminals. It has no reply on these issues and it lacks courage to face the opposition," he said.
