BJP today alleged that the SP government was retaliating to its drubbing in Lok Sabha elections by making "deliberate" power cuts across the state.

Staging a demonstration outside state power corporation headquarters at Shakti Bhawan here, BJP state president Lakshmi Kant Bajpai-led party workers alleged that deliberate power cuts were being made across the state after Samjawadi Party faced a rout in the just-concluded Parliamentary polls.

"It seems that the SP government is taking revenge of its defeat in Lok Sabha polls from people. Due to power cuts, the people of the state are facing difficult times. Our party will protest it," Bajpai said.

The BJP workers also raised slogans against SP government and demanded restoration of uninterrupted power supply.

A delegation of party leaders also met, Managing Director, UP Power Corporation AP Mishra and apprised him about the problems of the people.
