SP govt using technology for better governance: Akhilesh Yadav

To provide better service to people like launching a mobile app for ambulance service helpline 108 in the state

The Samajwadi Party (SP) government in Uttar Pradesh is adopting technical advancements to provide better service to people, Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav said on Tuesday.

"SP government believes in adopting technical advancements in governance. It has continuously been trying to make maximum use to technology so as to provide better services to the people of the state," he said while launching a mobile app for ambulance service helpline 108 in the state.

"This new mobile app will help people get the ambulance in shortest time, besides they will also be able to monitor the location of the ambulance," he said, adding the web portal dashboard will also provide other information about the 108-Samajwadi Ambulance service like how many people have used it among others.
 

Till date, as many as 69 lakh people have availed of the facility of 108-Samajwadi Ambulance while 1.5 crore pregnant woman have used 102-Ambulance services in the state, an official statement said.

In an another programme, the chief minister launched an Urdu language magazine of state information department.

The latest edition of the magazine is on famous poet Jan Nisar Akhtar.

Launching the magazine, Akhilesh stressed that his government has been making all efforts to promote urdu language and literature.
