BJP today said the Centre will not use Article 356 to dismiss the Akhilesh Yadav government and also not encourage defection of MLAs, but this government will fall due to its anti-people policies and its own deeds.

Addressing his election rallies in Kusmara and in Alipur Khera, UP BJP Chief Laxmi Kant Bajpai alleged that Samajwadi Party (SP) goondas have unleashed a reign of terror across the State.

"Under the patronage of its leaders, women and girls were being made targets of rape, loot and other crimes. This government will fall itself because of its policies and anti-people deeds," Bajpai said.

Alleging that in 2012 assembly elections, people of the state had given absolute majority to SP, but after coming to power they turned a blind eye towards their sufferings.

The State BJP Chief accused the government of being engaged in fomenting communal passion across the state to suit its political interests, and said the women and the girls were the worst sufferers.

"During two years of SP rule as many as 105 communal riots have taken place in the state and unfortunately 71 of them were results of molestation and rapes," Bajpai said.
