Five persons, including a Samajwadi Party leader from Uttar Pradesh, were killed when their speeding private vehicle rammed into a stationary truck near Kondhali village, about 50 kms from here early today, police said.
According to police, the SP leader Naresh Kumar Yadav, was travelling along with his family members via Nagpur when the mishap took place in the wee hours.
The identity of other deceased is yet to be established, police said.
Three others, including the driver of Yadav's vehicle were seriously injured and rushed to Government Medical College Hospital here, they added.
