On the eve of polls in Ghaziabad, BSP candidate Mukul Upadhyay has approached the Election Commission seeking transfer of two DSPs, ADM, tehsildar and four police stations officers, saying since they belonged to a particular caste they could influence voters.

Upadhyay alleged in his complaint that these officers can influence voters and make them cast votes in favour of ruling Samajwadi Party.

"All officers belong to a caste and are said to be close to Akhilesh Yadav and his relatives. In this situation, they want people to vote for the ruling SP and for this, they can influence voters. They should immediately be transferred," Upadhyay has alleged in his complaint.

Upadhyay is contesting elections against BJP candidate VK Singh, Congress leader Raj Babbar, AAP candidate Shazia Illmi and SP leader Sudhan Rawat from Ghaziabad Lok Sabha seat.
