Samajwadi Party workers allegedly clashed with policemen here when the latter did not allow entry to party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav inside police lines, police sources have said.
The incident occurred yesterday when Yadav was returning after attending a tilak ceremony here, they said.
When Yadav reached the helipad at the police lines, the police personnel closed the main entry gate, leading to a clash between local SP leaders and police, sources said.

Asked about the incident, Additional Superintendent of Police Ram Bhawan Chaurasiya refused to comment.
Meanwhile, senior IPS officer Amitabh Thakur, while alleging that SO Jahanganj, Shailendra Kumar Mishra and other policemen were beaten by SP leaders during Yadav's tour, in his letter to State Chief Secretary, said that he elicited information about the incident from Mishra and other policemen.
He claimed that the incident occurred when these policemen tried to "enforce the verbal orders of District Magistrate of Farrukhabad of not permitting entry to any political person inside the gates".
Thakur has requested registration of FIR in the case and asked the chief secretary to reward Mishra and other policemen for their commitment towards duty.
