Press Trust of India Coimbatore
: Global high engineering product valve leader Ampo Poyam Valves today moved to its fully owned manufacturing plant here as part of it's expansion plans.

The new plant at Thennapalayan will enable Ampo to manufacture upto 72" size valves, as well as to extend their capacities, a company press release said.

Ampo Poyam Valves, manufacturers of different industrial valves, had conceived the project in India in 2009 to meet growing customer demands and requirements.

Initially working from a rented accommodation here, the company obtained the certificate for creation of Ampo India and orders were delivered after assembling in the rented building, it said.

The new plant is spread over approximately 15,000 square meters, which include valve assembly, testing, painting and packing facilities.

The Indian market would get the same quality of product but at a lesser cost and with reduced delivery time, the release said.
