Auto component maker, Spark Minda, a part of the Ashok Minda Group today opened its new technical centre in Pune set up at a cost of Rs 60 crore.
The facility, named Spark Minda Technical Centre has an office space of around 40,000 square feet designed to accommodate up to 400 employees, the company said in a statement.
It will foster technology development journey of existing group businesses and enable their initiatives towards electronification, the statement added.

The facility will also strive to strengthen and expand the group's presence in automotive systems area as a complete system solution provider, the company said.
Commenting on the new centre, Ashok Minda Group Chairman and Group CEO, Spark Minda, Ashok Minda said, "Establishment of SMTC is a significant step to propel us towards attaining technology leadership in automotive sub systems domain."
He said it took more than one year to set up the facility with an investment of over Rs 60 crore.
The centre will have an EMI-EMC (Electromagnetic Interference and Electromagnetic Compatibility) test facility to cater to complete suite of design and product validation tests, it added.
