: The Tamil Nadu Assembly Speaker P Dhanapal today censured Congress MLA S Vijayadharani for making certain remarks and advised her to maintain the decorum of the house.
Speaking on the demands for grants to Handlooms and Textiles, Vijayadharani said stocks of textile varieties were lying in godowns in various areas, including Palladam.
Intervening, Textiles Minister S Gokula Indira said it was a generic charge without details and that it was not correct.

Resuming her address, Vijayadharani passed certain remarks, inviting the censure of the Speaker, who told the MLA to confine herself to the subject under discussion and not to speak without maintaining the decorum of the house.
Later, Gokula Indira told the House that the Rashtriya Swasthya Bima Yojana, a Central medical insurance scheme,would be extended to handloom and powerloom weavers in the state.
Free transportation amenities for workers of cooperative spinning mills, introduction of online shopping in State-run Cooptex and modernisation of its sales outlets were among the other announcements made by the minister on initiatives for 2014-15.
