Jharkhand Assembly Speaker Dinesh Oraon today pulled up the Raghubar Das government for seeking to withdraw a bill and re-introduce it after the speaker had referred it to the Select Committee.

When Parliamentary Affairs Minister Saryu Roy requested the Chair to re-consider his directive of sending the Bill to the Select Committee of the House, the Speaker took exception saying there should be coordination between the legislature and the executive.

Even the Chief Secretary and other officials of the department concerned should have looked into it before bringing the bill, Oraon said.

The Speaker allowed the minister's request to withdraw the Jharkhand Industries Facility and Single Window Clearance Bill, 2015, but said he allowed it with a lot of pain.

Earlier, the Speaker had referred the Bill to the Select Committee after BJP MLA Radhakrishna Kishore raised some objections in it before Roy placed the request to allow withdrawal of the Bill and that the government would bring it afresh.
