The UP Assembly Speaker today termed as "unfortunate" the decision of opposition members to boycott proceedings and run a "parallel House" and said he will send notices to them seeking their reply.
The opposition has been boycotting the proceedings, accusing the treasury benches of threatening them and using unparliamentary language
"Running a parallel House by members in Central Hall is unfortunate. I will send them notices and seek their reply as to what prompted them to do so. After their reply I will see what can be done," said Speaker Hriday Narayan Dixit.

Earlier, the matter was raised by BJP member Manish Asija who said opposition members running a "parallel House" was a matter of concern and should be condemned.
Members Ashok Chandel and Mayankeshwar Sharan Singh also requested the speaker to take up the matter.
BJP MLA Suresh Srivastava said, "Action should be taken against those who run parallel house in Central Hall".
"They run paralled House, now they will run parallel police station and courts...This is condemnable..," Srivastava added.
Parliamentary Affairs Minister Suresh Kumar Khanna said their action was a "contempt of the House".
"They could not tell what unparliamentary words were used by Leader of the House. There is no reason or justification for their (opposition's) action. Opposition should be asked why they did not attend the House," Khanna added.
Opposition SP, BSP and Congress members, who are boycotting proceedings of the House since July 20, ran a "parallel House" in Central hall on July 24.
