Bihar Legislative Assembly Speaker Uday Narayan Choudhary today took strong exception to members using mobile phones inside the House during Assembly proceedings and strongly warned against it.

His reaction was triggered after mobile phone of BJP member Mahendra Baitha rang when the Question Hour was on.

"There seems to be no seriousness on your part. This is not the place to use mobile phone," the Speaker told Baitha.

"Why do'nt you switch off your mobile?" he asked Baitha, MLA from Patepur (SC seat).

Choudhary warned that if such incidents continued he would order not to allow carrying mobile phones inside the House while proceedings were on.

Some members suggested installing jammer to make phones immobile.

The Speaker had earlier on Friday warned against use of mobile phones inside the house during proceedings forcing him to upbraid the BJP member who was caught today.
