A special party convention, to be inaugurated by AICC Chief Sonia Gandhi at Kochi on February 15, will herald the party's campaign for Lok Sabha polls, newly appointed Kerala PCC president V M Sudheeran today said.
Congress' main agenda now was gearing up the party and ruling UDF for the coming Lok Sabha polls, he told reporters at the party headquarters here after assuming office.
The Kerala PCC Executive meet would be held soon, he said adding "KPCC leadership team would take the Congress and UDF unitedly forward to face the polls".

The party would not protect any culprits. Law should take its course and the Congress would not justify any offences from party workers, he said.
Sudheeran was reacting to a question on the murder of a woman sweeper at the congress office at Nilambur in which a congress worker and personal staff of a minister was arrested.
State Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala, also the outgoing KPCC President said, Sudheeran has a tough responsibility ahead in view of the Lok Sabha polls.
The Congress and UDF has to fight both the communal forces led by BJP on one side and opportunistic politics of CPI-M on the other, he added.
