Special court summons Rajya Sabha MP in LTC claims case

A special court has summoned Rajya Sabha member Anil Kumar Sahani and three others as accused in a case of leave travel concession claims by allegedly using fake bills.

Special CBI judge Virender Kumar Goyal issued the summons, asking them to appear in the court on April 3.

Besides Sahani, the court has asked the then Office Superintendent of Air India N S Nair, an employee of Delhi-based Air Cruise Travels Private Limited Anup Singh Panwar and Arvind Tiwari, who works with Murgai Travels, to appear before it.

The court passed the order after taking cognisance of the CBI charge sheet filed against the accused persons.
 

The agency had filed the final report under various section dealing with cheating, forgery and under the provisions of Prevention of Corruption Act.
