Special Suvidha train to clear Raksha Bandhan rush for Lucknow

In order to clear extra rush of passengers on the eve of Raksha Bandhan, the Northern Railways has decided to run Suvidha Express between Delhi and Lucknow in the last week of this month.

New Delhi-Lucknow-New Delhi Suvidha Superfast Express special train will make a single to and fro trip, bookings for which opens tomorrow, a senior Northern Railways official said today.

The fare structure in Suvidha trains, which have replaced the Premium trains since July, are higher than the normal trains.

The minimum fare in Suvidha service is the Tatkal fare for the particular class, which goes up depending on the demand.
 

Fares would increase after booking of every 20 per cent of berths, subject to maximum three times of the Tatkal fare, the official said.

Tickets for Suvidha service can be booked online or at counters and only confirmed and RAC tickets are issued for it. There are no concessions for children and senior citizens in Suvidha trains.

The Suvidha special train will depart from New Delhi station at 9.05 PM on August 28 to reach Lucknow at 5.30 AM the next day. While returning, the train will depart from Lucknow at 9.30 PM on August 30 to reach New Delhi at 6.25 AM the next day.

Suvidha special train having AC 3 tier, AC 2 tier and second class Sleeper accommodation will stop at Ghaziabad, Moradabad and Bareilly stations during the journey.
