Special train for Velankanni festival from Bandra Terminus

The Western Railway will run two trips of a fully reserved special train, for which fares chargeable will be inclusive of special charges, for the convenience of passengers on the occasion of the Velankanni festival.

Issuing a statement, Western Railway said that train number 09001 Bandra Terminus-Velankanni Special will leave Bandra Terminus on August 27, 2015 at 10.50 pm to reach Velankanni on August 29, at 1.30 pm.

Similarly, train number 09002 Velankanni-Bandra Terminus Special will leave Velankanni at 11.45 pm on August 29, 2015 (Saturday) and arrive at Bandra Terminus at 2.20 pm on August 31, 2015, the release said.
 

The train will halt at Borivali, Vasai Road, Kalyan, Lonavala, Pune, Daund, Solapur, Wadi, Yadgir, Raichur, Mantralayam Road, Adoni, Guntakal, Gooty, Tadipatri, Muddanuru, Yerraguntla, Cudapah, Razampeta, Koduru, Renigunta, Arakkonam, Kancheepuram, Chengalpet, Villupuram, Tirupadaripulliyur, Chidambaram, Sirkazhi, Mayiladuthurai, Tiruvarur Junction and Nagapattinam stations during its onward journey.

However, on its return journey, the train will halt at all the above mentioned stations except Daund station.

The train will comprise AC II tier, AC III tier, sleeper class and Class II seating reserved coaches, the release said.

Booking for train number 09001 will open on August 3, 2015 at all public reservation system counters and Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) website.
