With a view to provide assistance to the stranded passengers due to the incessant rain and flood in Chennai and its surrounding areas, Southern Railway is operating special train services between Mangaluru (Karnataka) and Arakkonam (Tamil Nadu).
The special train will leave Mangaluru Central at 8 PM today and reach Arakkonam Junction at 10.30 AM tomorrow, a railway spokesperson said.
Similarly, a special train will leave Arakkonam Junction at 12.00 noon on 5 December and arrive at Mangaluru Central at 02.30 AM the next day.
Both the trains will stop at Kasaragod, Kannur,Kozhikode, Shoranur Jn., Palakkad Jn., Coimbatore Jn., Erode Jn., Salem Jn., Jolarpettai Jn. And Katpadi Jn, as the passengers can take maximum use.
