To clear rush of passengers during 'Ardh Kumbh Mela', Northern Railway today started two special trains from the national capital to Haridwar.
New Delhi - Haridwar- New Delhi AC Express and Anand Vihar - Haridwar - Anand Vihar Express are being pressed into service from today, an official said.
New Delhi - Haridwar - New Delhi AC special train will run 5 days a week except Tuesday and Friday and it will depart from New Delhi station at 7.30 AM to reach Haridwar at 1.10 PM the same day till April 30, according to the schedule finalised by Northern Railway.

Comprising one AC first class, three AC-2 tier and six AC-3 tier coaches, the special train will stop at Ghaziabad, Meerut City, Muzzaffarnagar, Tapri and Roorkee stations enroute in both the directions.
The Anand Vihar-Haridwar weekly special train will depart from Anand Vihar every Friday up to April 29 at 9.50 PM to reach Haridwar at 3.10 AM the next day.
This Haridwar- Anand Vihar weekly special train will depart from Haridwar every Monday with immediate effect up to April 25 at 8.20 AM to reach Anand Vihar at 4 PM the same day.
Comprising one AC-3 Tier, six sleeper class, six general class besides two luggage van coaches, the special train will stop at Ghaziabad, Modinagar, Meerut City, Meerut Cantt., Muzzaffarnagar, Deoband, Roorkee and Jwalapur stations enroute in both the directions.
