Special trains to clear summer rush

The Railways will run special trains between Surat and Varanasi to clear the extra rush of passengers during summer.

The Surat-Varanasi Special train will depart from Surat in Gujarat on May 19 at 11.50 PM to reach Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh on May 21 at 3 AM, an official release said.

In return journey, Varanasi-Surat Special train will leave Varanasi on May 21 at 9.15 PM to reach Surat on May 23 at midnight, it said.

Comprising two AC 2-tier, three AC-3 tier and 12 sleeper classes, the Surat-Varanasi-Surat Special train will stop at Nandurbar, Amalner, Bhusaval, Khandwa, Harda, Itarsi, Jabalpur, Katni, Satna, Allahabad, Allahabad City, Gyanpur Road and Manduadih stations en-route in both the directions.
