A Tamil Nadu Special Youth Police Brigade personnel was stabbed by a man in full public view when he was regulating traffic at a busy junction in neighbouring Tirupur today.
Jagadish Kannan was regulating traffic at near the old bus stand when a youth approached and sought some clarification. Suddenly he took out a knife and attacked Kannan before fleeing, police said.
However, he was chased and caught by public, who handed him over to police.
Kannan, with stab injuries, was admitted to the Government Hospital in Tirupur, police added.
