Himachal Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh today directed the Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau to speed up investigations into the charge-sheet submitted by the Congress party against the previous BJP government.
Serious allegations of graft with concrete evidence should be taken up on priority, he told a high-level meeting here.
The meeting, which reviewed the progress of probe into the charge-sheet, was attended by the Chief Secretary, the Home Sectretary, the DGP, the ADGP (Vigilance and Corruption) and other concerned officers.

The Chief Minister told them that investigations into the charges be taken up department-wise.
The Congress, while in the Opposition, had submitted the 114-page chargesheet against the then BJP government on August 23, 2012.
The charge-sheet among others related to land deals and benami transctions.
The government had already cancelled the lease of the land given to Patanjali Peeth of yoga guru Ramdev.
The Congress party had promised in its poll manifesto to investigate the charge-sheet and bring the guilty to book if returned to power.
