The Met department today forecast one or two spells of showers or thunderstorm in different parts of West Bengal over the next two days.
There has been little or no rainfall activity in the state for the past few days.
Most parts of the state experienced hot and humid weather conditions with Digha recording the day's highest at 35.8 degrees Celsius, the Met department said.
Kolkata recorded its maximum temperature at 34.6 degrees Celsius. The city recorded the state's highest rainfall at only 7.8 mm in 24 hours from yesterday morning.
