: The Kochi-Muziris Biennale has teamed up with Soles of Cochin and the Spice Coast Marathon for a new initiative to celebrate art, creativity and healthy lifestyles at once.
'Running for Art' is a programme conceived by the Kochi Biennale Foundation to raise greater awareness among citizens about the city's history, cultural legacy and way of life, which form the essence of the Biennale.
The 'Running for Art' theme will be integrated into the Spice Coast Marathon, which is to be held tomorrow. The 42.2 km race which begins and ends at Willingdon Island will cover Mattanchery Old Bridge, Thoppumpady, Karuvelipady, Jew Street, Bazaar Road and Parade Ground.

Spice Coast Marathon is an initiative of Soles of Cochin Runners Club. Its Director Ramesh Kanjilimadhom, said the purpose of the race is to "raise awareness about the importance of healthy lifestyle, promote amateur sports, and to support various charity organisations."
The members of Soles of Cochin and Spice Coast Marathon said that they are "excited to team up with KMB. The combined passion for running and art is a unique mix which can help spread the message of creativity, compassion, love for our culture and pride in who we are."" The organisation, with the motto "run your problems away" hopes to create a positive culture around running.
Organisers hope that the event along with the upcoming KMB, sdheduled to open on December 12, will restore Kochi on the global cultural map.
