City-based St Pauls Institute of Communication Education (SPICE) announced that it has partnered with Australia-based Deakin University to offer Masters Degree in Communication in the country.

Deakin University is offering its two-year Masters Degree in Communication outside its four campuses in Australia. The University has tied up with SPICE, which has campuses at Mumbai and Bengaluru, SPICE Director Dominic Savio D'Silva said in a statement here.

Students can opt to study both years in India or study for the first year in India and the next year in Australia, D'Silva said.

Ravneet Pahwa, Director, South East Asia, Deakin University, said, "Deakin University enrols over 1000 students from India each year for various academic courses".

"We wanted to make the Master of Communication program relevant to Indian conditions so that the student gets the best of both worlds. Also, this course in India will cost less than a one-third of what a student would spend while doing it from Australia", Pahwa added.
