Spices Board was in discussions with leading chocolate manufacturers, including Cadbury, Amul and Nestle, for marketing of spice-flavoured chocolate in domestic and International markets.

Talks are on with Amul, Nestle, Cadbury's and other chocolate manufacturers, Spices Board chairman, A Jayathilak told reporters here.

"We have sent samples to chocolate manufactures and the response is mixed," he said.

The board is already selling spice flavoured chocolates in six flavours -- cinnamon, cardamom, cumin, chilli, clove and Mace -- packed in gift boxes, at its store 'Spices India' in Lulu Mall here. Since the response has been good, the board was contemplating to start a store at Dubai on the franchisee model.

There were also plans to launch innovative cosmetics products, spice fragrances, candles, spices soap and textiles using spices, he said.
