Spices prices end mixed

Meanwhile, copra Rajapur Mumbai fell on lower retail demand.

Black pepper also eased owing to poor retail buying on the back of fresh arrivals.

Copra office Alapuzha and copra office Kozhikode climbed by Rs 50 per quintal to each to Rs 4,350 and Rs 4,250 from Thursday's closing level of Rs 4,300 and Rs 4,200.

However, Black pepper went down by Rs 5 per kilo to Rs 430/455 from Rs 435/460 and Copra Rajapur Mumbai dropped by Rs 100 per quintal to Rs 6,900 as against Rs 7,000 previously.

The following are today's closing rates in rupees with previous rates in brackets:

 

Black pepper (per kg) 430/455 (435/460), ginger bleached (per kg) 120 (120), ginger unbleached (per kg) 130 (130), copra office Alapuzha (per quintal) 4,350 (4,300), copra office Kozhikode (per quintal) 4,250 (4,200), copra Rajapur Mumbai (per quintal) 6,900 (7,000) and copra edible Mumbai (per quintal) 5,200 (5,200).
