Yamunacharya had a heart attack on November 23 during his visit to Gujarat and had to be admitted in a hospital where he was undergoing treatment, one of his disciples said.

According to the Baba's main disciple and successor Santosh Das, Yamunacharya had been discharged from the hospital in the morning today and was preparing to leave the facility when another heart attack claimed his life.

Das said that Yamunacharya's body would be brought to Varanasi for the last rites.

Yamunacharya was in news in April 2010 when he had gone missing from Haridwar before being traced to a local ashram.
