Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Chouhan today said that crucial global issues will be discussed by spiritual leaders of different faiths at the 2016 Kumbh-Simhastha Mela in Ujjain district.
"Along with holy dips, sermons and traditional rituals, an intellectual Mahakumbh will mark the Simhastha Kumbh Mela. Important global issues like climate change, global warming and value based living will be touched upon by pontiffs of different religions," he said.
The Chief Minister stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi would also grace the event responding to the state government's invitation.
He noted that it is a matter of joy for the state that his cabinet colleague Kailash Vijaywargiya has become the BJP national general secretary.
"I am hopeful that he will shoulder the responsibility given to him efficiently," Chouhan said.
