: The Department of Elections will embark upon the special summary revision of electoral rolls of all 30 Assembly constituencies in the union territory of Puducherry on October 15.
The revision would be done keeping Jan 1, 2015 as the qualifying date for eligible voters to get themselves enrolled in the rolls. Deletion or corrections in the rolls would also be taken up during the revision which would go on till Nov 10 2014, a release from the Chief Electoral Officer of Puducherry T Seekanth said here today
Sreekanth held a meeting jointly with leaders and representations of all recognised national and State level political parties here today and enlisted their cooperation for successful competition of the exercise and to bring out error-free rolls.
The 30 Assembly constituencies are spread over Puducherry (23), Karaikal (five) and Mahe and Yanam regions (one each).
