Spolia inaugurates festival

The annual festival of "Phool Walon Ki Sair", which symbolises communal harmony, was today inaugurated by Delhi Chief Secretary D M Spolia here.

A traditional Pankha was presented to the chief secretary at a simple function at the Delhi Secretariat by the office bearers of Anjuman Sair-e-Gul Faroshan.

On this occassion, Spolia said, "Phool Walon Ki Sair has been enriching our unity and secularism."

Number of states would be sending their attractive Pankhas in three-day festival of Hindu-Muslim brotherhood beginning on October 13.

The chief secretary also assured that Delhi Government would provide all possible assistance in organizing 'Phool Walon Ki Sair' in the national capital.
