Around 150 transgenders are likely to take part in the two-day 1st All India Third Gender Sports Meet, being organised by city-based Right Turn Welfare Society (RTWS) in collaboration with Chhattisgarh Mitwa Sankalp Samiti and Raipur District Sports and Youth Welfare Department.
The meet will see participants from Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, West Bengal, Odisha, Gujarat, Delhi and Maharashtra besides Chhattisgarh, RTWS Founder Teja Singh Sahu said today.
Kabaddi, kho-kho, athletics and tug-or-war will be among the main sporting events, Sahu said, adding a cultural programme will also be organised during the meet.
