With the present generation being fitness freak to be in shape, typical sportswear have also turned popular among the non-sporting types, Brazilian footballer Jose Ramirez Barreto says.
"Before we were stuck by the concept that sportswear are to be donned by players and athletes only. Now with people getting more conscious about looking fitter, trimmer and in great shape, you can see sportswear from jerseys to sneakers invading homes," Barreto told PTI.
The goal-machine, who launched the 'Casual Sporty Shoe', said with globalisation - patterns, cuts and shoe-makes have become uniformal and the youngsters have the fetish for the same kind of accessories everywhere.

Bagan's former spearhead, who rates yellow and blue as his most favourite colours as he believed brightness reflects vibrancy, said "Today I can see everybody knows something about the style statement."
Baretto, who recalled his 20-year old footballing career in Brazil and then India, said he was willing to mentor budding footballers here in the coming year."
"The only thing I will seek to drive home is have faith in yourself. Self-confidence is as much important as skill," Barreto said.
