Cardamom prices rose 0.57 per cent to Rs 774 per kg in futures trade today as traders enlarged commitments, supported by a pickup in export and domestic demand.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in August rose Rs 4.40, or 0.57 per cent, to Rs 774 per kg, with a business turnover of 57 lots.
Also, the spice for delivery in September edged up by Rs 3.10, or 0.40 per cent, to Rs 773 per kg in 7 lots.
Traders said apart from rising export and domestic demand, tight stocks at the spot market following restricted arrivals from growing regions influenced cardamom prices at futures trade here.
