Chana prices moved up 0.39 per cent to Rs 4,422 per quintal in futures trading today as participants created fresh positions, driven by pick-up in demand at the spot market.
Expectations of lower production following unseasonal rains in North India too felled the uptrend.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, chana for delivery in May rose by Rs 17, or 0.39 per cent to Rs 4,422 per quintal with an open interest of 22,230 lots.
