Guarseed prices rose by Rs 7 to Rs 3,316 per quintal in futures trading today after participants enlarged their commitments at prevailing levels, driven by a firm trend at the physical markets.
Marketmen said, widening of positions by participants, tracking a firm trend at the domestic spot markets on strong demand from guargum makers, mainly supported the rise in guarseed prices at futures trade.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guarseed for delivery in January was trading higher by Rs 7, or 0.21 per cent to Rs 3,316 per quintal, having an open interest of 54,550 lots.
Likewise, delivery in December too advanced by Rs 6, or 0.18 per cent to Rs 3,266 per quintal, depicting an open interest of 24,110 lots.
