Mentha oil up by 0.3% on spot demand

Press Trust of India New Delhi
Mentha oil prices moved up by 0.35% to Rs 900.60 per kg in futures trade today as participants built-up fresh positions, driven by pick up in demand from consuming industries in the spot market.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in February rose by Rs 3.10, or 0.35%, to Rs 900.60 per kg, in a business turnover of 469 lots.

Similarly, the oil for delivery in March edged up by Rs 3, or 0.33%, to Rs 910.30 per kg in 42 lots.

Analysts said fresh positions created by traders after pick up in demand from consuming industries in the spot market against restricted supplies from Chandausi in Uttar Pradesh led to the rise in mentha oil prices at futures trade.
