Spot demand lifts mentha oil futures by 0.28%

Mentha oil edged higher by 0.28 per cent to Rs 891.10 per kg in futures market today as traders indulged in creating fresh positions after pick up in demand from consuming industries in the spot market.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in October month went up by Rs 2.50, or 0.28 per cent to Rs 891.10 per kg in business turnover of 308 lots.

Likewise, the oil for delivery in September contracts traded higher by Rs 2.40, or 0.27 per cent to Rs 879.70 per kg in 324 lots.

Analysts said fresh positions created by participants due to pick up in demand from consuming industries in the spot market against tight stocks position on restricted supplies from Chandausi helped mentha oil prices to trade higher at futures trade.
