Mentha oil up by 0.45% on spot demand

Amid pickup in domestic demand and restricted supplies from producing areas, mentha oil prices were up 0.45% to Rs 901.20 in futures trade today.

At Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in November month moved up by Rs 4, or 0.45% to Rs 901.20 per kg in business turnover of 169 lots.

Similarly, the oil for delivery in December contracts traded higher by Rs 3.30, or 0.36% to Rs 914 per kg in 32 lots.

Analysts said fresh positions built up by participants due to rise in demand from consuming industries in the spot markets against restricted supplies from Chandausi in Uttar Pradesh mainly influenced mentha oil prices at futures trade.
