Mustard seed prices edged higher by Rs 24 to Rs 3,948 per quintal in futures trade today as participants built up fresh positions amid a firm trend at the spot markets.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, mustard seed for the most-traded delivery in July contract was trading higher by Rs 234 or 0.61 per cent to Rs 3,948 per quintal, having an open interest of 1,28,010 lots.
Mustard seed, to be delivered in August contract, was trading higher by Rs 22, or 0.55 per cent, to Rs 3,992 per quintal in an open interest of 39,610 lots.
