Supported by pickup in domestic demand at spot market and restricted supplies from the growing regions, refined soya oil prices were up 0.25 per cent to Rs 611.80 per 10 kg in futures trading today.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in January edged higher by Rs 1.55, or 0.25 per cent, to Rs 611.80 per 10 kg, with an open interest of 8,250 lots.

Likewise, the oil for delivery in far-month February traded higher by Rs 1.15, or 0.19 per cent, to Rs 604.65 per 10 kg in 87,560 lots.

Analysts attributed the rise in refined soya oil prices at futures trade to rising demand in the spot market against restricted supplies from the producing belts.
