Refined soya oil prices were up by 1.22 per cent to Rs 715.60 per 10 kg in futures trade today as traders enlarged positions due to pick up in demand in the spot market against tight stocks position.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in February rose by Rs 8.65, or 1.22 per cent, to Rs 715.60 per 10 kg with an open interest of 7,820 lots.

Likewise, the oil for delivery in January contracts traded higher by Rs 7.65, or 1.07 per cent, to Rs 723.70 per 10 kg in 30,890 lots.

Analysts said, widening positions by participants on the back of rising demand in the physical market against tight stock position on restricted supplies from producing belts, mainly led to the rise in refined soya oil prices at futures trade.
