Refined soya oil prices rose by 1.42 per cent to Rs 574 per 10 kg in futures trade today amid pick-up in domestic demand and restricted supplies from producing belts.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in October moved up by Rs 8.05, or 1.42 per cent, to Rs 573.95 per 10 kg with an open interest of 67,115 lots.

In a similar fashion, the oil for delivery in November was trading higher by Rs 7.70, or 1.36 per cent, to Rs 572.35 per 10 kg in 47,370 lots.

Market analysts said besides pick-up in demand in the spot market, restricted supplies from producing belts led to rise in refined soya oil prices in futures trade.
