Zinc prices traded higher by 0.10 per cent to Rs 203.60 per kg in futures trading today as traders enlarged positions, taking positive cues from the spot market on rising demand.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc for delivery in January edged up by 20 paise, or 0.10 per cent to Rs 203.60 per kg in a business turnover of 26 lots.

On similar lines, the metal for delivery in December contracts edged up by 15 paise, or 0.07 per cent to Rs 203.35 per kg in 619 lots.

Market analysts said widening of positions by participants on the back of surging demand from consuming industries at the spot market, mainly attributed the rise in zinc prices at futures trade.
