A jilted lover allegedly set ablaze a woman here today after she rejected his move, the police said.
The incident took place at the Panitanki Bustee in Unit-8 area under Nayapalli police station area this afternoon.
The man allegedly poured petrol on the woman after she spurned his advances, the police said.
The critically injured woman was admitted to Capital Hospital here and later shifted to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack after her condition worsened.
The police recorded the statement of the woman at the hospital and her tormentor was arrested while trying to flee.
