: Angered by the refusal of a woman to reciprocate his love for her, a man and two of his friends allegedly sprinkled chilli powder on her at Anupandi village in the district today.
Police said Thavam (22) of Anupanadi was in love with a 20-year-old woman of the same village but she had spurned his advances. She informed her parents who warned him against continuing with it.
Irked, Thavam went to her house today with his friends and sprinkled some chilli powder on her face and also her grandmother who tried to block them.
The trio were arrested based on a complaint filed by the woman, police said.
