Communist Party of India (Marxist), or CPI(M), on Thursday lambasted the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for their "insensitive" attitude towards the "worsening" health situation in the national capital and asked them to step up medical facilities, ending their "petty" bickering.

"CPI(M) condemns the insensitive attitude of both AAP and BJP on the worsening health situation in the national capital," KM Tiwari, secretary, Delhi state committee said in a statement.

"AAP and BJP must end their petty bickering and step up the medical facilities to face the emergency situation," added Tiwari.

Eleven persons have died due to chikungunya complications in Delhi, which is grappling with a severe health crisis.
