SR cancels, regulates trains due to modernisation work

Southern railway has cancelled some trains, partially cancelled a few and scheduled a delayed start of some others due to modernisation of Angamali station yard between August 4 and 12.

The Ernakulam-Guruvayoor passenger train (in both directions) and passenger trains between Guruvayoor and Thrissur have been cancelled on August 12 while the MEMU services between Ernakulam and Palakkad will remain cancelled between Shoranur and Ernakulam from August 4 to 12, according to a Southern Railway press release today.

Nizamuddin-Ernakulam Mangla Express reaching Thrissur tomorrow, August 6 and 7 will be terminated at Thrissur.

Train No 16307/16308 (Executive Exp) between Alappuzha and Kannur will remain partially cancelled between Chalakkudi and Alappuzha on August 4 and 6.
 

Thiruvananthapuram-New Delhi Kerala Express will be provided with special stoppage at Chalakkudi on these days to connect the reserved passengers of Executive Exp.

The Venad Express between Thiruvananthapuram and Shoranur will remain partially cancelled between Shoranur and Ernakulam on August 12 and the Intercity Express between Ernakulam and Kannur will remain partially cancelled between Chalakudi and Ernakulam the same day, it said.

Ernakulam Jn-Pune Express scheduled to leave Ernakulamat 5.15 a m will be delayed by one hour on August 8,the release added.
