Sreesanth opens as match ends in thrilling draw

Kerala got three points on the basis of earning a slender first-innings lead as the match ended in a thrilling draw.

Chasing 209 for victory, Kerala smashed 192 for four in only 23 overs and fell short of the target by 19 runs at the at the YS Raja Reddy Stadium.

Opener V A Jagadeesh scored a brisk 70 off 61 balls while Sanju Samson slammed 51 off a mere 36 balls for the visitors.

Kerala had in their first innings scored 312 in reply to Andhra's 329. The hosts, in their second innings, were all out for 191 after resuming on 38 for no loss on the fourth and final day.

 

Chovvakkaran Shahid was the wrecker in chief for Kerala, returning impressive figures of five for 52.
